Practice a Job Application
- Due No Due Date
- Points 100
- Submitting a text entry box
Now it's your turn to practice filling out a job application.
Imagine you are applying for your first job.
- Fast Food (Mcdonald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, etc.)
- Retail (Walmart, Dollar General, etc.)
- Grocery (Rouse's, Save a Lot, Winn Dixie, etc.)
- Service (Jiffy Lube, Landscaping, Day Care, etc.)
Using what you have learned from these three lessons, get a sample job application from the basket at the end of your row. Neatly and completely, in blue or black ink, complete the front and back of the application.
- You may use the Internet to locate addresses and phone numbers of schools or former employers.
- If you haven't had a job yet, use your parents as former employers and describe jobs or chores you do around the house.
- For example, if it’s your job to cut the grass, list “landscaper” or “gardener” as your job. If, for instance, you look after a younger sibling, then list “babysitter” or “child care worker” as your job. Be creative.
- Try to leave as few blanks as possible. If you don't know a piece of information, make something up.
- Fill it out as NEATLY and COMPLETELY as you can.
- How your application will be graded:
- Printed Neatly-33 points
- Blue or Black Ink-33 points
- All sections complete and SOME information in each: 33 points
Turn in your application to me when you are finished. Make sure you have signed and dated the back of the application.
Mark in the text box for this assignment the word COMPLETE to indicate you are finished with this work and have given me your paper copy of the completed application.
