There are two games here. The first lets you explore ways to create a more sustainable environment. The second challenges you to build a sustainable house. This site also has an introduction to sustainability.
This assignment can be turned in any time before the end of the unit. You can work on it whenever you have free time.
Play BOTH of the two games on this site. Play it all the way through to the end. The end of the game will show your Sustainability Score sheet.
It will look like this:
You will need to take a "screen shot" of this Score Sheet, open it in Paint, save as a JPEG and submit to Canvas for credit. Put both Score Sheets on one Word Document.
Follow these directions to do that:
- With your Sustainability Score Sheet showing on the screen, press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. This will copy whatever is on your monitor at the time.
- Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, Paint. When Paint opens, go to edit and click Paste.
- Use the rectangle selection tool and draw a rectangle around the Sustainability Score Sheet.
- Click Edit, cut. Open a new drawing (Close the last one). Click edit and paste.
- Save as a JPEG file. Save as your initials,block,Score1.
- Open a blank Word document and create a header with your name and block. Name the document SUSTAINABILITY GAMES.
- Insert the JPEG of meter1.
- Repeat these steps when you finish the second game (Score2) and place your score on this same Word document.
- Save and submit to Canvas for grading.
- Make sure you put your name and block in the header information.
