Design Your Own Keyboard Project
Project Description: This project is designed in two parts: Part I (research the keyboard and key arrangements) and Part II (design your own keyboard). Part I: Read each question and answer in complete sentences and paragraph form. Part II: Your group will create a personal designed keyboard. The rubric has everything that is required to be included on your keyboard. You can use cartoon characters but that is not the whole keyboard. Create a unique name for your keyboard! Be creative!! Remember your keyboard has to be usable (realist).
Part I
- Who and when was the first keyboard invented?
- How were the keys arranged on the first keyboard?
- Is there a difference between the keyboards on the typewriter compared to the one on the computer?
- Why were the keys on the first keyboard re-arranged?
- How were the keys on the keyboard re-arranged?
- What is the name of the new key arrangement on the keyboard?
- Who and when was the first computer invented?
Part II – Each item in the rubric below must be included in this project.
